As the Executive Director of Rehab Nexus, I believe in saving peoples lives.
It’s about empowering the patient not breaking them down more than they already are. We’re treating patients not clients. The level of care we provide is that of a patient who needs all the help they can get.
We believe in what’s best for the patient comes first, not what’s best for us.
It’s all about creating an empowering identity for each and every one of our patients.
I believe the words “I Am” are two of the most powerful words in the English language when it comes to helping create a person’s identity. When you say “I Am” what comes after those two words begins to transform the human mind allowing the patient to become something greater than they are.
If I asked you to change a circle into a square, that would be very difficult, on the other hand if I asked you to transform a circle into a sphere, that would be more easily attainable.
At Rehab Nexus we believe in expanding the horizon of each and every one of our patients showing then how and who they can be. We help them break through the limiting and faulty core beliefs they’ve been imprisoned by their entire lives and help them crush their negative thought patterns.
We believe in the mind body connection and to strengthen this, we provide nutrient dense meals, designed to provide the highest possible healthy foods to help patients as they work to make lifelong lasting changes. We provide hydrating vegetables, foods with healthy fats to lubricate the bodies systems, low carbohydrates, warm healthy grains as well as natural sugars with fruits and proteins that the body can more easily process the necessary nutrition the body needs to function at higher levels of productivity and creativity.

Dr. Jessica Leon earned her Masters of Social Work and a Doctorate in counseling from Barry University and has been working in the mental health field since 2001.
She brings her years of experience and her passion of helping people experience profound transformation in their lives. She is able to understand peoples’ behaviors and coping skills that were improperly formed and guide and help them make the proper changes to lead the lives they deserve.
Jessica deals with addictions of all types, mental health issues, anger management, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, conflicts between couples, grief, eating disorders and loss of a loved one.
Jessica’s professional goal is to help individuals and families in times of crisis and abolish the stigma associated with mental health issues and treatment. “There is nothing wrong with a person who seeks help. Most people have not been taught how their brain and mind works or how their identities are formed”.
Her treatment, therapy and programs offer solution-focused counseling to her patients. By discovering what does work for each patient; when did things work for that person, helping them explore times in their life when things were working well, thus creating and giving them hope, they can then tap into their successes, not focusing on what went wrong.
She believes that over the years of substance abuse and mental health unbalance, the mind has some damage and it needs a combination of medication and therapy to get the neuropathways in the brain to function the way they were designed and create a new foundation that allows the body to release the proper dopamine levels appropriate to each experience or activity in a person’s life.
When our patients begin to truly understand how their minds work, we can help them re-frame their perspective and how they can see things differently in a more logical and more positively oriented way to understand and take control of the course of their lives.
We all have the power to be happy, joyful and free and with the right road map and tools and skills we can get through any challenge, overcome obstacles regardless of the issue. Jessica believes no matter what you’ve been through, or what you’re going through, there are answers and solutions. At Rehab Nexus our team is trained to help you find those answers and solutions.
Rehab Nexus provides and teaches each patient to believe in themselves when no one else may have and to know that they have the inherent strength and power within themselves, by empowering them with the right thoughts and behaviors. The more you do in treatment and recovery the more power you have. Each activity, exercise, therapy and group session is designed to build the internal strength and re-wire the brain to understand what is it truly capable of. Our program is brave enough to push forth the standard requirement to transform and navigate life.
It’s not about reliving the past it’s about starting to learn what works and what doesn’t work so each patient can plan better for future issues with a proactive foundation. “When you get help preparing for future endeavors from a position of strength and develop and strengthen life skills…that’s therapy”.
Successful treatment of addiction and mental health conditions can happen in 6 months to a year, not years and years of struggle and failure.
