chemical health assessments. If you need to complete an assessment or evaluation for a DUI, DWI, Drug or Alcohol related incident, Rehab Nexus is pleased to provide a variety of options for getting this done. Many times evaluations are mandated and required by social services, drug courts, families engaged in Marchman Act or Baker Act proceedings or similar agencies. Our in-person clinical evaluation & assessments can be completed quickly and easily. All assessments are completed by one of our trained clinicians trained in Drug and Alcohol assessments and addiction treatment.
How Much Does An Assessment Cost?
Rehab Nexus charges a Flat Rate of $149.00 for Drug, Alcohol, DUI, & DWI Related Assessments. The fee for an assessment tends to vary from one agency to another with the average fee at other centers being about $200. Some organizations may charge up to $300 or more depending on how the assessment is to be used, how quickly it is needed, and whether or not additional records must be obtained to support the assessment results.

What Is The Purpose Of An Alcohol or Drug Evaluation (AOD Assessment)?
In Florida, with virtually every case involving the use of drugs or alcohol, the courts may ask that you comply with a drug or alcohol assessment. These evaluations can be provided by a state certified substance abuse treatment center. These Alcohol or Drug Evaluations assist the court to determine if deferred prosecution is something that the defendant will benefit from. The evaluation or assessment is designed to serve as a one of the determining factors required as needed for rehabilitation and addiction treatment requirements. It also helps the treatment center determine what would better help the defendant that is facing charges for drug or alcohol related crimes.

What Kinds Of Questions Are Asked During An Assessment?
An assessment gathers information about your historical use of alcohol and/or drugs, previous alcohol and drug treatment, the risk of future problem use, significant medical concerns, mental health concerns, sources of support and resources to help you in making positive life changes, your living environment, and the consequences from your alcohol and/or drug use, including legal issues, employment problems, and relationship problems.
The goal is to not only understand what chemicals you were using and how much, but also to provide a context of your use. It evaluates how your use did or did not impact your life and current situation.
What Types Recommendations Might Be Made?
Recommendations are based on what the clinician deems clinically appropriate. These recommendations are usually geared towards addressing concerns related to your alcohol and drug use. Many times, recommendations may include the following:

- No Treatment, If No Issues Are Present
- Alcohol Or Drug Education Classes
- Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment
- Residential Substance Abuse Treatment
- Individual Counseling
